In a world where individualism and selfishness prevail, there are still some individuals and associations which lend a hand to the underprivileged, with a view to improving their lives. NonzoBénin was founded in October 2006 and aims to assist orphan children in Benin. Over there the situation of the youngest is the most alarming, as up to 10,000 of them, known as "vidomégons", are purely and simply slaves drawn into the trafficking of children. On a small scale, NonzoBénin tries to alleviate this daily misery and plans to found a children's house in the small town of Toviklin in South-West of the country. The children's house will look after a dozen children for start of the new school year in 2007. To fund its activities, the association would like to set up system of sponsorship.
